According to Wikipedia, the International Free Hugs Month is celebrated on the first Saturday of July and continues until August 1st.
Well, call it a sign or not, I was planning to start my walk from Santiago in the beginning of July.
To celebrate this "Free Hugs Month" (no matter wether it really exists or not), I'll arrive in Santiago on July 4th... and keep on walking (and hugging) on the Camino Francés until August 15th.
